Check availability before searching
Add https://mcp.dropshippingleads.com/mcp in a compatible Streamable HTTP MCP client; no API key is required. Follow the connection guide on the DropshippingLeads MCP page. Local source deployment is a separate developer option.
Call get_data_coverage first to check the remote public catalog, which reports ready. Source downloads contain no real dataset; init-catalog creates not_ready when the default file is absent. In that state record_count is null, not zero. The website’s 40 CSV examples remain separate.
The initial scope is 14 main categories, 100 free records per category, excluding food and beverages and pending classifications. Coverage and merchant records return English category names. Filters accept those names or their original Chinese equivalents; English names are case-insensitive. Recorded sales-market labels remain separate.
Four tools and two resources
Read-only resources dsl://public/coverage and dsl://public/methodology provide the corresponding coverage and interpretation information. None of these tools sends messages, changes data or processes payment.
| Tool | Use | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| get_data_coverage | Read status, release, categories, markets and count | Describes only the approved public pool |
| search_merchants | Filter by keyword, exact category and market; paginate | Default 10 records per call; limit 1–50 |
| get_merchant | Read one ID returned by search | not_ready has found:null; an unknown ready-state ID has found:false |
| get_methodology | Read field meanings, limitations and cooperation information | Does not grant access to private data |
Make a query and read the response
This example uses the English category name Apparel, Footwear & Bags and requests five records. The matching Chinese category name is also accepted and selects the same records. Keywords use case-insensitive literal matching of store URLs, both English and Chinese category names, product titles and product URLs. The category filter accepts the mapped full names; market matching ignores case. Many records have no product or contact fields, and there is no semantic expansion.
limit defaults to 10 and accepts 1–50. offset accepts 0–100000; use next_offset from a ready response for the next page. These are interface bounds, not a claim about the number of available records.
While data is not_ready, search returns records:[], matched:null and next_offset:null. In a ready response, read records, matched, returned and next_offset. matched is a count within that public release, not a global market count. Only in the ready state does matched:0 mean that release has no match.
Pass an actual returned id to get_merchant. Inspect found and record, then review record.sources and the known observed_at date. Do not invent an ID or replace an unknown date with an import or publication date.

}Preserve scope, versions and evidence
The response scope is public_catalog. dataset_version, release_period and published_at identify the public package; observed_at records a known observation date for a merchant and may be null. Recorded sources are not rechecked live on every query.
The business collects more data daily and updates its commercial data service quarterly. A free pool is a separately reviewed release and does not promise daily synchronization of all new records. A sales-market label is not a registered country, and a listed product is not proof of buying intent.
This MCP pool retains real store URLs, existing explicit categories and recorded market labels, and excludes pending classifications. products and contacts may be empty; unknown observed_at values remain null. confirmed means the source has an explicit category, not that every store was manually verified. Business collection continues daily and commercial updates are quarterly; free-pool versions are managed separately.
Collection focuses on merchants whose business operations are based outside China, India, Türkiye and Russia. Recorded sales-market labels are not business locations. Business locations have not been verified for every free record and still require individual confirmation.
Continue to an agreed email delivery
Share your platform’s product categories, service coverage, preferred merchant business locations and required fields. The DropshippingLeads team will privately agree quarterly pricing and the scope of a defined dataset, then deliver it by email. The free MCP is a data introduction with no paid unlock tier.
The MCP remains a free discovery tool. It has no paid account tier, automatic subscription unlock or full-database entitlement. Connecting a client and having a public introduction cited in an AI answer are separate processes; neither guarantees a particular search position.
MIT code and separate data-use terms
The MCP framework code is MIT-licensed, with copyright held by Beijing Anbani Technology Co., Ltd. Real free data is licensed separately for internal research for your own business, retention and private AI analysis. No resale, public redistribution or external data services returning these records, including APIs or MCPs, are permitted without separate written permission.
Free Data Terms v1.0 apply, with Beijing Anbani Technology Co., Ltd. as the provider. See the terms for their publication and effective dates. Preserve sources and versions in internal results. Quarterly commercial delivery remains a separate agreement.
Questions answered
Who is DropshippingLeads for, and which merchants does it focus on?
DropshippingLeads serves dropshipping platforms seeking to grow their merchant networks. The research focus is small, independent online retailers. Current free records do not contain verified company-size, business-location or dropshipping-use fields; individual fit still requires verification.
Is the MCP limited to the website’s 40 sample records?
No. The 40 records remain website CSV examples. MCP uses its own initial pool of 14 main categories, with 100 free records per category, excluding food and beverages. The ready remote public pool and the empty source-download package have different data states.
Is 10 records the maximum page size?
No. Ten is the default. The current search_merchants implementation accepts limit from 1 to 50, and supports offset pagination within the activated public pool.
Does payment unlock additional MCP records?
No. Commercial cooperation remains privately agreed quarterly pricing for a defined data batch, delivered by email. It does not change the public MCP pool automatically.
Is public ChatGPT or Doubao access already verified?
The public endpoint is live and has passed external protocol checks using the official MCP SDK. ChatGPT and Doubao product integrations have not been tested separately.
Can I search categories in Chinese?
Yes. All 14 public categories accept their English names or original Chinese names. English names are case-insensitive. Category names in coverage, search results and merchant details are returned in English. Both languages select the same records; this does not translate sales-market labels or introduce semantic search.
Does MIT allow resale or public sharing of the free data?
No. MIT covers the framework code and accompanying technical materials; real data has separate terms. Free data permits internal research for your own business, internal retention and necessary private AI analysis. Resale or public redistribution is prohibited for individual records, small batches and the full pool. Reusing the code does not grant data redistribution rights; other uses require separate written permission. See Free Data Terms v1.0 for the complete rules.
