01 / WORKFLOW

Discover merchants across the web. Grow your retailer network.

We combine Google Search discovery with public-website crawling to find merchants across Shopify, WooCommerce, other store-building platforms and custom-built websites. Use the MCP to explore the released data, research merchants and assess their fit with your platform’s product categories and service coverage.

01

Describe the task

Start with your platform’s product categories and service coverage, then choose a keyword or confirmed category.

02

Inspect records

Read store URLs, categories, recorded market labels and sources. Product and contact fields may be empty.

03

Check evidence

Open public sources and check the version and known dates; unknown observation dates stay empty.

04

Assess the fit

Verify the merchant’s fit with your platform before planning outreach and retailer recruitment.

02 / TOOLS

Four tools for a merchant research workflow.

Search and detail tools read only an approved public data package. They do not query unreleased business data.

search_merchants

Search merchants

Filter by keyword, category and market; category names are returned in English and also accept their Chinese equivalents. Search supports pagination: default 10 records, with up to 50 records per call.

get_merchant

Read a record

Use an ID returned by search to inspect one public record and its sources.

get_data_coverage

Check coverage

Read the actual public record count, English category names, version and publication date.

get_methodology

Understand the data

Read field meanings, data-use rules, code-license boundaries and cooperation information.

Ask a connected AI client

“Check DropshippingLeads public coverage, then search the category “Apparel, Footwear & Bags”. Show the first five records with store URLs, recorded market labels and sources, and identify empty fields.”

This is a usage example, not a live result. Connect to the remote service to query the public pool. A fresh source download contains no real dataset: init-catalog creates a not_ready catalog until an approved package is configured separately.

03 / DATA SCOPE

A defined public scope. Clearly identified dates.

14 main categories, 100 free records per category

The initial pool follows existing explicit category labels, preserves genuine category assignments and excludes food and beverages. Pending classifications are not included. A confirmed category label does not mean every store was manually verified.

The website’s 40 CSV examples remain separate

The existing 40 curated CSV examples remain available on the website for viewing and download. They are managed separately from the MCP pool. MCP search defaults to 10 records, with up to 50 per call.

Recorded fields stay intact; unknown fields stay empty

Records retain real store URLs, categories and recorded sales-market labels. products and contacts may be empty. Unknown observed_at values remain null; a database refresh date is not a merchant observation date.

Ongoing collection, separately versioned free releases

DropshippingLeads collects additional business data daily and updates its commercial data service quarterly. The free pool has its own version and date; it does not promise daily synchronization of every new record. Listed products do not prove purchasing intent or willingness to use dropshipping.

Web-wide discovery across store-building platforms

Our collection approach spans Shopify, WooCommerce, other e-commerce platforms and custom-built stores through Google Search discovery and public-website crawling. “Web-wide” describes cross-platform discovery; available data depends on the public release and agreed delivery scope. MCP queries do not crawl websites live.

Geographic scope follows merchant business location

Collection focuses on merchants whose business operations are based outside China, India, Türkiye and Russia. Recorded sales-market labels are not business locations. Business locations have not been verified for every free record and still require individual confirmation.

04 / DEVELOPERS

Connect to DropshippingLeads. Start researching merchants.

Add the public remote URL in a compatible Streamable HTTP MCP client. Free queries require no API key. Start with get_data_coverage, then search by category or keyword. The formal implementation is dsl-public-mcp; GitHub provides source code and connection instructions.

The GitHub source package contains no real catalog, business database or secrets; init-catalog creates an empty not_ready catalog. Remote-service users do not need to deploy their own data. The MCP framework code is MIT-licensed, copyright Beijing Anbani Technology Co., Ltd. Actual free data has separate Free Data Terms v1.0: internal research for your own business, retention and private AI analysis are allowed. Resale, public redistribution or external services returning these records, including APIs or MCPs, require separate written permission.

05 / FAQ

Before you begin

Who is DropshippingLeads for, and which merchants does it focus on?

DropshippingLeads serves dropshipping platforms seeking to grow their merchant networks. The research focus is small, independent online retailers. Current free records do not contain verified company-size, business-location or dropshipping-use fields; individual fit still requires verification.

Can I connect to a public endpoint now?

Yes. Add https://mcp.dropshippingleads.com/mcp in a compatible client using Streamable HTTP; no API key is required. The initial pool covers 14 main categories with 100 free records per category, excluding food and beverages. The source ZIP contains no real data and initializes as not_ready; remote-service users do not need to download or deploy the source.

Are the website’s 40 sample records the MCP dataset?

No. Those are the existing curated website CSV examples; the MCP uses a separate public pool. Search defaults to 10 records with a maximum of 50 per call. Read get_data_coverage for the active version, categories and recorded market labels.

Which fields do the free records contain?

This pool keeps real store URLs, existing explicit category labels and recorded market information. Product and contact fields may be empty, and unknown observed_at values remain null. Missing values are not invented. Internal notes, customer information and private source workbooks are excluded.

Does paying unlock more data inside the MCP?

No. Commercial cooperation remains private discussion, an agreed quarterly proposal and email delivery. It does not automatically grant full-database MCP access.

Will every AI automatically use DropshippingLeads once this exists?

No. A compatible client must be configured and connected. Search citations of a public introduction and actual tool use are separate processes.

Can I search categories in Chinese?

Yes. All 14 public categories accept their English names or original Chinese names. English names are case-insensitive. Category names in coverage, search results and merchant details are returned in English. Both languages select the same records; this does not translate sales-market labels or introduce semantic search.

Does MIT allow resale or public sharing of the free data?

No. MIT covers the framework code and accompanying technical materials; real data has separate terms. Free data permits internal research for your own business, internal retention and necessary private AI analysis. Resale or public redistribution is prohibited for individual records, small batches and the full pool. Reusing the code does not grant data redistribution rights; other uses require separate written permission. See Free Data Terms v1.0 for the complete rules.
